Professional Care, Personal Growth
Compassionate, evidence-based psychological services in New Orleans—helping individuals, couples, and families achieve meaningful change through deep understanding and lasting growth.
Founded on a Commitment to Quality Care
In 2025, Dr. Leigh Anne Terrebonne founded The Terrebonne Group in response to a pressing need she witnessed throughout her 25-year career: the growing demand—and limited availability—of quality psychological services in New Orleans and across Louisiana. After two decades of providing exceptional care to individuals, couples, and families, Dr. Terrebonne recognized the opportunity to expand access to evidence-based psychotherapy by building a practice centered on the values that have guided her work from the beginning.
The Terrebonne Group was created with a clear mission: to provide compassionate, individualized psychological care that honors each client’s unique story while drawing on decades of research about what makes therapy effective. We understand that seeking therapy requires courage, and we’ve built our practice to be a place where clients feel comfortable, heard, and supported throughout their journey toward greater well-being.
What began as Dr. Terrebonne’s solo practice has grown into a team of experienced psychologists and therapists who share a commitment to the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful change. Each clinician brings their own expertise and perspective while maintaining our practice’s core values: empathy, competence, and integrity.
Specialty Areas
Anxiety & Stress Management
Comprehensive treatment for generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, and stress-related concerns. We help clients understand the root causes of their anxiety and develop effective strategies to manage worry, reduce physical symptoms, and regain a sense of calm and control in their lives.
Depression & Mood Disorders
Evidence-based psychotherapy for depression, persistent depressive disorder, and bipolar disorder. Our approach helps clients process underlying emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, understand contributing factors, and develop skills to improve mood, energy, and overall life satisfaction.
Trauma & Complex Trauma
Specialized trauma psychotherapy for children and adults who have experienced single-incident trauma or complex, long-standing trauma. We provide a safe space to process difficult experiences, reduce trauma symptoms, and develop healthy ways of coping with traumatic memories and their impact on current life.
ADHD
Psychotherapy for children and adults with ADHD addressing both the practical and emotional challenges of attention difficulties. We help clients develop executive function skills, reduce shame and frustration, recognize their unique strengths, and create practical strategies for work, school, relationships, and daily life.
Professional Burnout & Career Stress
Support for physicians, attorneys, and other professionals experiencing work-related exhaustion, compassion fatigue, and career dissatisfaction. We help clients explore the sources of burnout, establish healthier boundaries, and rediscover meaning and balance in their professional lives.
Marriage & Relationships
Therapy for couples facing communication difficulties, trust concerns, recurring conflicts, or loss of connection. We help partners understand underlying relationship patterns, heal from betrayals or wounds, improve how they communicate and resolve conflict, and rebuild the intimacy and partnership they desire.
Grief & Loss
Compassionate support for individuals processing the death of loved ones, relationship losses, or other significant life losses. We provide space to honor grief, process complex emotions, and find ways to move forward while maintaining meaningful connections to what has been lost.
Parenting Support & Child Therapy
We offer parenting support for families struggling with behavioral and emotional challenges, including problems at home and school, sibling/peer conflict, and daily routine struggles. We're trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Collaborative and Proactive Solutions, proven interventions for reducing behavioral issues.
Substance Use Concerns
Support for adults addressing problematic alcohol or drug use. We provide assessment services and psychotherapy to help clients understand the function of substance use in their lives, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward lasting change in their relationship with substances.

Frequently-Asked Questions
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Finding the right fit is important. We're happy to discuss your concerns and needs during an initial phone consultation and help match you with the clinician whose expertise and approach best align with what you're looking for. You can also review each clinician's bio page to learn more about their background and specializations.
How long does therapy take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your concerns, goals, and circumstances. Some clients achieve their goals in a few months, while others benefit from longer-term work. We'll discuss realistic expectations during your initial consultation and regularly review progress together.
Is what I discuss in therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything you discuss in therapy is confidential and protected by law, with rare exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court orders). We'll discuss confidentiality in detail during your first session.
How much does therapy cost?
Therapy fees vary by clinician at The Terrebonne Group. Each of our therapists sets their own fee structure based on their experience, specialization, and the type of services provided. You can find specific fee information on each therapist's individual bio page, or contact us directly to discuss costs for the services you're seeking.
